Here you can find:
Information – Research results – Discussion about:
Violence is still a salient problem of modern societies, therefore violence prevention should be part of every learning process.
Intersectional approaches promise to foster group specific violence prevention, so that violence prevention with an intersectional approach can contribute to the effectiveness of violence prevention methods targeting the general population.

The IGIV objectives focus on adult learners who want to improve their understanding and approaches in the field of violence prevention in general. It empowers trainers and adults from the field of social and educational work to implement intersectionality as a core perspective in their work.

IGIV realises a needs analysis under the perspective of intersectionality in practical fields of potential users. In continuation from there, IGIV will develop and test practical analytic tools and diagnostic instruments as well as implementation guidelines. A modularised training course with an intersectional focus on gender, class, ethnicity and other relevant categories in accordance with to European Qualification Framework will be developed and conducted. Target groups are pedagogical staff at institutions of adult learning, social and educational workers, trainers of gender competence, anti-racism, social justice etc., as well as policy makers.
